EK Releases its Full-Cover GIGABYTE GTX 980 Ti WF3 Water Block
EK has released a new Full-Cover water block, called the EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3, which is designed specifically for GIGABYTE® Gaming G1 and WindForce 3X series NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 980 Ti top-tier graphics cards.
“EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3 – with WF3 standing as WindForce 3X abbreviation – is a high-performance Full-Cover water block, designed for GIGABYTE® non-reference design GeForce® GTX 980 Ti graphics cards,” the manufacturer wrote in the press release.
“The cooler actively cools the GPU, RAM as well as VRM (voltage regulation module) as water flows directly over these critical areas, thus allowing the graphics card and it’s VRM to remain stable under high overclocks. Water block aesthetically covers the entire PCB and with the corresponding retention backplate, users get visually stunning GPU in their system.”
EK-FC980 GTX Ti WF3 ensures best possible cooling performance. It features the company’s unique central inlet split-flow cooling engine design, which delivers seamless operation with reversed water flow without adversely affecting the cooling performance.
In addition, such design offers optimal hydraulic performance, which means that the product can be used in liquid cooling systems using weaker water pumps.
Covering the whole PCB and back plate, the new water block won’t disappoint you in your next extreme overclocker project as well.
Its base is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality POM Acetal or acrylic (depending on the variant). Moreover, this new addition comes with pre-installed screw-in brass standoffs, allowing for safe installation procedure.
