The iPhone 6s Has a Smaller Battery Capacity, But Same Battery Life as iPhone 6
Apple announced iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus during a special event yesterday, where we saw the new phones and what they have to offer to users in terms of performance and specs.
Apple has added 3D Touch, but rest of the features and specs are pretty much similar to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. One of the most interesting details about the phone came a little bit later when Apple shared a new video of 6s.
The footage revealed that iPhone 6s comes with a smaller battery compared to iPhone 6. The new phone comes with a 1715 mAh, while previously we had 1810 mAh battery.
This may worry some users as they may think that 1715 mAh battery won’t be able to keep the lights on for a longer period of time. The good news is that users don’t need to worry about this issue at all.
Apple claims that battery in iPhone 6s will offer the same battery life as iPhone 6. That suggests the company must have improved the power efficiency in its new models.
You can’t know how true this is until you have the phone in your hands. Also, battery life always varies user-to-user depending his/her needs and usage.
Lastly, Apple claims that the iPhone 6s is less likely to bend as it’s stronger compared to previous models. iPhone 6s will release on September 25 for $199 with a two-year contract.
