Apple Brings a Redesigned tvOS to Apple TV, OS Now Available in Beta
In addition to bringing us news regarding iPhone 6s, new iPad Pro and Apple TV, Apple also announced a tvOS. The OS is going to be used in the new Apple TV, it’s custom designed for the device.
Users have been asking for this for a long time and it’s nice to see Apple finally improving the OS. The new software is based on iOS and it is designed for your living room.
The most interesting part is that the tvOS comes with an App Store for customers.
Developers can access a beta version of the tvOS, but it is not compatible with previous version of Apple TV. On the other hand, Apple is working with companies for developing apps compatible with new Apple TV.
What’s impressive is that the beta will let indie developers create apps for Apple TV and submit them to Apple. This will allow users to do a lot more with the new devices.
Previous Apple TV wasn’t a groundbreaking success but Apple seems to have high hopes for its predecessor. The new Apple TV is also focusing on gaming and rumor has it Nintendo is making games for Apple TV. However, nothing is confirmed by Apple nor Nintendo.
The new Apple TV will cost users $150, if they wish to grab it.
