Asus VivoStick Runs Windows 10 on Any TV or Monitor With HDMI
IFA is currently being held in Berlin, Germany and something really unique and interesting has come out of it. Asus has announced VivoStick, which is a Windows 10 PC on a stick.
With Asus VivoStick, the company is going after Intel’s Compute Stick, which is a similar product. Asus’ new stick is basically a small PC in your pocket, you can go anywhere and connect it to a TV or monitor via HDMI-in, and use Windows 10 right there.
The stick comes with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage space and 2 USB ports. One of these ports is USB 2.0, while the other is USB 3.0. That’s not all, it is capable of connecting to other devices via Bluetooth, and uses 802.11n Wi-Fi for internet connectivity.
Moreover, it also comes with a headphone jack. It’s amazing how Asus managed to put all of this into VivoStick’s design. In terms of weight and dimensions, it is 70 grams with 138 x 34 x 15mm.
Asus VivoStick is powered by Intel’s Cherry Trail processor, so don’t expect much in terms of raw CPU power. Sure, it won’t be able to compete with today’s high-powered PCs.
Asus is yet to announced a release date for it, but we do know that it will be available for $129.
