ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless Router Has Eight Dual-Band Antennae
IFA has brought forth a number of interesting stories already and what we have at hand right now is something you should (must?) watch out for. We arte talking about the recently unveiled ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless Router.
The reason why this wireless router is different are the eight dual-band antennae that it has. The antennae cover all four sides of the router making the main body look like something alien by design, but even that is great.
Uniquely designed, this is a tri-band router: one at 2.4 Hz and two at 5GHz. However, unlike RT-AC3200 it has a much higher bandwidth and sports the latest Wifi chip of Broadcom.
Needless to say, the antennae on ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless Router are promising a much wider area coverage. ASUS boasts 1Gbps connections capability for the 2.4 GHz band which gets increased to 2.167Gbps for each of the 5GHz bands.
On the body you will find a USB 3.0 port alongside a USB 2.0 port and a 4-port gigabit switch. The router itself carries DDR3 RAM weighing in at 256MB and flash memory of 128MB.
No prices have been shared for the ASUS RT-AC5300 Wireless Router so far however, the company has confirmed they will be shipping the router by the fourth quarter of the running year.
