Female Profiles on Ashley Madison Were Fake, 99% of Them Weren’t Real Women
Ashley Madison was hit by a cyber attack not too long ago, and at the time hackers claimed that over 90% of accounts on the controversial website.
This surely came as a shock for male members who signed-up to cheat their partners. However, all of those people will be happy to know that hackers were wrong, 90% to 95% accounts were fake.
Now for the bad news, while hackers were wrong about the percentage the first time, they are right this time around. Sadly, 99% of female accounts on Ashley Madison are fake.
They are created using a single localhost IP of 127.0.0.1, which means 5.5 million accounts on the website were fake. Not a great feeling for users, is it?
Majority of female members had AsleyMadison.com as their primary contact e.g email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org and so on.
One very interesting piece of information was regarding the last time a user checked his/her inbox. Leak revealed that if a user never opened their inbox, the field will be blank.
You’ll be surprised to know that 20 million males checked their inbox, while only 1,400+ women opened their inbox. The website and its parent company, Avid Life Media, is currently facing a number of class action lawsuits; and in light of this new information, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more lawsuits filed against the company.
