Report: Surface Pro 4 To Feature Skylake, USB-C, 16GB RAM and More
Microsoft is planning to unleash the Surface Pro 4, according to a new report. Pro 4 will arrive later this year and if the report in question is to be believed, it will be using the Intel Skylake CPU.
It’s not yet official but if that is the case, Pro 4 will pack a decent punch. The power of Skylake is going to be complemented by a 16GB RAM, however, we can also expect a 4GB variant of Surface Pro 4.
While Microsoft is yet to reveal a release date, reports say that Pro 4 is hitting shelves in October. Pricing will be crucial for this one, and we can expect it to be around $799 for the lower end model, and $1,700 plus for the higher end models.
Different variants are rumored, with storage capacity of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The latest USB-C is being added to the mix as well.
Users will benefit from ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. Details regarding camera, mic, speakers etc, are not yet available so far. Obviously, Surface Pro 4 will be using the latest Windows OS, the Windows 10, that was released little over a couple of weeks ago worldwide.
Rumor has it that Microsoft is holding an event in October, where this device is going to be shown and released. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
