NVIDIA Stumps Over AMD Red Team with 4 Out of 5 PC Gamers Preferring NVIDIA GPUs
According to latest research data, the gap between AMD and NVIDIA continues to widen as more fans are opting for NVIDIA graphics card.
The latest Mercury Research data states that NVIDIA has leapt from 77 per cent of the discrete GPU market in Q4 2014 to 82 per cent in Q2 2015. What this basically means is that AMD has fell down from 23 per cent to only 18 per cent of the discrete GPU market.
According to DSO Gaming; back in April, 3 out of 4 PC gamers preferred NVIDIA’s graphics cards over ADM ones and now the number has increased to 4 out of 5 – open in new tab to enlarge image:
And to be honest, the statistics are hardly surprising since AMD’s latest graphics cards Fury and Fury-X failed to compete with NVIDIA’s GTX 980 and GTX 980 Ti respectively – in some cases, of course.
However, one important aspect which cannot be neglected here is that both current-gen consoles i.e. Xbox One and Playstation 4 use AMD-designed GPUs that have sold quite a lot.
