LG Might Be Skipping Android 5.1.1 In Favor Of Android M For G Series
Rumors are circulating around the digital realm that LG might skip Android 5.1.1, meaning you might not be getting the OS version for your LG flagship devices.
It has been awhile since Android 5.1.1 rolled out for several devices, but LG is yet to make it available for LG G2, G3 or even G4.
The G4 is running 5.1.0 so far, which gave birth to this rumor that LG will jump straight to Android M. If it turns out to be true, it wouldn’t be surprising at all, as LG has done something similar in the past as well.
The company chose to skip 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 KitKat versions, and jumped from 4.4.2 to Android 5.0. LG hasn’t said a word about the release of Android 5.1.1 or Android M, but the company does look to be skipping.
However, nothing can be said for sure for the time being.
Even if the company decides to release Android 5.1.1 for LG G series, we shouldn’t expect it to come out for LG G2. LG G3 and G4 users are secure in this regard.
