EKWB Announces Water Blocks for ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX
EK Water Blocks has announced a couple of new water blocks designed for ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX.
The Ljubljana-based company is well-known for creating radiators, pumps, water blocks, tubing, as well as custom PCB-designed cards for brands such as ASUS, EVGA, and Gigabyte.
According to EKWB, the said water blocks for the ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX come in two variants; a nickel-plated with a transparent acrylic window that lets users see the fluid inside and another one with a black acetal instead of a transparent acrylic. Aside from this, there is as such no major difference between the two variants and both replace the built-in DirectCU III cooler on the said graphics card.
The company noted that the EK-FC980 GTX Ti STRIX block boasts a split-flow cooling design which provides the ‘best cooling performance’ and actively cools the GPU.
This is not all! EKWB has also announced a couple of backplates for the said water blocks which will also arrive in black or nickel. The backplates will be available by the second half of August 2015. As for the EK-FC980 GTX Ti STRIX blocks, they are now available for $149 from the EK Webshop.
