iPhone 6S, 6S Plus Mentioned in Web Logs, No 6C in Sight
Okay so this is not the first evidence for the rumor that Apple is going to release two new smartphones this year, but it does strengthen the previous ones.
Fiksu has reported that they found two new models being mentioned in their web logs namely iPhone 8,1 and iPhone 8,2. Since you will be wondering what has that got to do with iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, let me clear it up for you.
Last year, two models were found being tested in the web logs for those two models the identifiers being used were iPhone 7,1 and iPhone 7,2. As you might have already figured out, those two models turned out to be iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
So in light of that, it is prudent to say that the identifiers iPhone 8,1 and iPhone 8,2 are being used to refer to iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
For those of you who were (unexpectedly for me) waiting for an iPhone 6C announcement, this leak further weakens the possibility of any such model being launched by Apple since only the aforementioned models were found in the web logs.
So now we have two varying speculations, one that suggests iPhone 6C is going to accompany the new models and this one evidencing that only iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be launched this year.
What do you think will happen?
