Pair G.Skill Memory With Skylake to Break Overclocking World Records
G.Skill recently announced its new line of DDR4 memory and it is already breaking world records, folks. G.Skill has announced that its new memory chips were paired with Intel’s Skylake to break a number of world records, and came in first in 16 different benchmarks.
World record submission was made to HWbot by overclocker Chi-Kui Lam, using the new G.Skill Ripjaws 4. The overclocker used Liquid Nitrogen to bring the temp. down on the modules; managed to get 2397.7 MHz clock speed for an effective speed of 4795.4 MHz.
HWBot’s memory clock ranking details revealed that the new record is 87.7 MHz faster than the last one, impressive indeed, right?
To get the desired results, Chi-Kui Lam used ASRock’s Z170 OC Formula motherboard and Intel’s Core i7-6700K. Moreover, G.Skill announced that 17 new world records were made and G.Skill memory played a role in 16 of them.
Looks like Skylake, Maximus VIII boards and G.Skill memory are tearing-it-up in the OC world. Maximus VIII boards were announced recently by ASUS and offer a great deal of features for PC builders, like KeyBot II, Extreme Engine DIGI+, Overwolf and more.
