Kingston Reveals HyperX Fury DDR4 Memory Sticks for Intel Skylane CPUs
The end of DDR3 memory is nigh, as Kingston’s HyperX have released a brand new DDR4 line of high-end memory sticks for Intel’s freshest Skylake brand of CPU chips.
The Skylake series has given rise to the transition from DDR3 to DDR4 memory, and enthusiasts will be looking to take use of super-fast memory to go along with their 6000 series CPUs. HyperX has revealed various ‘Fury’ sticks, ranging from the standard 4GB stick all the way to a mammoth 64GB capacity one.
There are three clock speeds you can get these RAM sticks in: the standard 2133MHz used for DDR4 memory, the 2400MHz variant, and the high-speed 2666MHz variants. The 64GB capacity stick will only come in the 2133MHz speed, while other capacities will be available in all three.
The Fury series is not to be confused with the Predator DDR4 sticks, which are ultra-fast RAM cards made for the purpose of usage with Intel’s X99 based motherboards. The Fury line of RAM sticks will be targeting the more conventional consumers and gamers who are looking to build a Skylane-based Desktop.
