ASUS Announces X99M-WS Motherboard With Micro-ATX
Asus announces the official launch of X99M-WS LGA2011v3 motherboard today. As per the announcement, the motherboard will come with the micro-ATX form-factor.
The X99M-WS LGA2011v3 motherboard was initially introduced at the Computex event by the company itself earlier this year. Asus asserts that it is feature-rich X99-based motherboard and a workstation-class motherboard in its category.
It has four DDR4 DIMM slots with 64GB quad-channel DDR4 memory. According to reports, it will support limited Xeon E5 v3 series processors and Intel Core i7 “Haswell-E”. The motherboard will also have 2+2 phase VRM for the memory modules and 8-phase VRM for the CPU. This makes the slot support more universal.
The X99M-WS LGA2011v3 motherboard also allows itself to expand with the expansion slots. It features three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots on the board along with a single PCIe x1. It has two gigabit Ethernet interfaces for connectivity.
Furthermore it includes multiple USB 2.0/1.1 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, two USB 3.1 ports and an 802.11 ac + Bluetooth 4.0 WLAN.
ASUS CrystalSound 2 has been used for the enhancement and better quality of audios. As for the storage, the X99M-WS LGA2011v3 motherboard features one M.2 32GB/s slot and eight SATA 6 GB/s.
