Microsoft Garage Releases a Messaging App ‘Send’
Microsoft has found a new way to let you communicate within an office environment. A new Outlook based app, called the Send, has been released by the company to put chat service in its email.
Whenever you are working or in the office, you are more likely to send an email rather than walking up to your colleague’s desk. Life in an office works right with an email; this quick message sending app can ease the problem and will let you send short quick messages.
The app also allows you to chat with a video using your Gmail. The app works just like any other instant messaging app like Skype through which you can send messages, pictures as well as video chat. You just have to type in the contact’s username though. Before sending a message with Send, the user must type in recipient’s email address for it to go through.
These will appear as brief chats on your devices but when you will open the conversation with Outlook, it will show as a stream of emails. Outlook has connection with Office 365 around the clock making it the core reason for using it for Send.
Currently, the app is only available in U.S.A and Canada for iOS but the company plans on extending it in the future to Android and Windows Phone. The app will include Office 365 business and school emails for now but it will be extended in the future.
Send is currently in the testing phase as feedback is very important at this time. With appropriate feedback, this app can be improved.
