Just as other companies prepare their Z170X chipsets, GIGABYTE is also readying up their Z170X SOC Force. For the fans, we have a couple of images that show off how the massive motherboard is going to look like alongside some details.
It comes with their iconic black, orange and silver theme with the first two colors dominating the whole design but there are more important thing to notice in their flagship motherboard than just that. Let me just list down some features here:
- 20 Digital Phase Power design
- Four DDR4 DIMM slots
- Turbo B-Clock chip
- Gen.3 PoweIRstage ICs
- Gen.4 IR Digital Controller
- Four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (x16/x8/x16/x8)
- Three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots
- Three M.2 slots
- Three SATA Express ports

You should also note that you should know that GIGABYTE Z170X SOC Force makes use of high end black capacitors and the Turbo B-Clock chip is capable of pushing BCLK frequencies to 90-200MHz.
Last but not the least, the DDR4 DIMM slots can cater up to 3400MHz speeds and support 64GB.
That being said in case you didn’t already know, GIGABYTE is prepping up a handful of motherboards using the same chipset, and not just GIGABYTE Z170X SOC Force. They are also working on Z170X Gaming G1, Z170X Gaming 7, Z170X Gaming 5, Z170X Gaming 3, Z170X-UD7-TH, Z170X-UD5-TH, Z170X-UD3 and Mini-ITX Z170X.
