OnePlus 2 Dual-SIM Support Coming Right Up!
OnePlus 2 will support dual-SIM card slots and there is a possibility that it will also sport a microSD card slot.
OnePlus 2 is all set for July 28 release and with each day passing, we get to hear different stories, specs and leaks. But this time around, the information is legit and it is coming directly from a substantial source.
Liu Zuohu, CEO of OnePlus revealed it on Weibo, which is like Twitter in China, that the upcoming flagship phone will have a dual-SIM slot. Ever since the phone was announced, rumors have been circling the market but that is usually the case when it comes to creating hype in the market.
The biggest and most common complaint OnePlus One users had was the lack of microSD card but we think with the introduction of an additional SIM slot, this issue can be resolved. Most of the handsets allow the dual-SIM slot to work as microSD card slot when required.
The dual-SIM demand is usually higher in the Asian Pacific regions so perhaps this option won’t benefit those who don’t want to use two sims simultaneously. For them, the second SIM tray can be used for inserting the microSD card for expanding the phone’s storage.
Either way, it sounds like a win-win situation for OnePlus but note that this is just a speculation. OnePlus 2 will boast a 13 megapixel camera, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 3300mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C connection. It will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC processor and will be smaller in dimension (or exactly the same) as compared to OnePlus One.
