LG Device Appears on Geekbench, Details Snapdragon 808
A new device sporting the LG name has appeared on Geekbench with benchmarking tests. If these specifications turn out to be true, we are looking at the next Nexus phone.
Earlier, specs on 2015 variant of LG Nexus 5 appeared with some kickass points, these were 85,000 and most of the people and critics discharged the scores and called it fake. I know it’s harsh, but well what can we say that is just the kind of reputation LG phones have.
So according to the benchmarking tests that appeared on the page, we are looking at an LG device with six processing cores. The reported LG Nexus 5 will run on Snapdragon 808. The processor is currently running on another device the LG G4.
However, LG isn’t the only company involved in making the next Nexus phone. Huawei, the Chinese phone manufacturing company is also immersed in it and it will run on Snapdragon 820 instead of a Kirin SoC.
This could be taken as a sign why we believe this leak could be true. Since LG Nexus 5 will feature Snapdragon 808 and the Huawei one is expected to sport Snapdragon 820. So it is possible that these two variables will be the next Nexus devices.
The LG device is codenamed LGE LG-F600L and in the benchmarking report published on Geekbench the device obtained 1082 in the Single-core test and 3298 in the Multi-core test. Interestingly enough, the codename is consistent with the previous variant of LG. LG G4’s model number was F500L.
The only difference between the two devices is that it has 4 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, this is all we have for now and since it’s just a leak, keep an open mind. In the meantime, check out the benchmarks below in the image.
