K|NGP|N Shows Its Beautiful Custom GTX 980 Ti
Nvidia’s GTX 980Ti is available now and different manufacturers are using the reference model to create their own custom GPUs. Plenty of gorgeous models have been revealed so far, including the Asus STRIX GTX 980 Ti which is a personal favorite of mine.
However, K|NGP|N has shared some teaser images of their GTX 980 Ti, which is being developed in partnership with EVGA. It is a twin fan mode, like most custom cards are, and the design is focused on overclocking with help from some lovely liquid nitrogen.
A healthy amount of copper heatpipes and fins are mounted on the custom EVGA designed PCB, along with a few extra cooling plates for VRAM and RAM.
Three PCIe connectors are available, two 8-pin and one 6-pin. Interestingly, K|NGP|N is adding two BIOSes in the GTX 980Ti, one for regular and the other for liquid based cooling.
For overclockers, manufacturers will provide an overclocking guide. It will provide help on topics such as voltages, cooling (regular and liquid) and much more. Practically all you need to know for OC will be there.
Lastly, this 980Ti will come with RGB LEDs.
Nothing has been shared regarding a price point or release date. Considering that it’s a K|NGP|N card, expect premium pricing.
We’ll let you know as soon as new details are shared with us.
