ASUS Z170 Pro Motherboard Picture and Details Inside
At Computex a lot of companies revealed their Z170 chipset motherboards but only ASUS Z170 Pro was shown off by ASUS.
We now have for you a clear picture of the motherboard in full glory as well as everything else that you would need to know about it.
So first off, as you can see it borrows a little in design from the X99 motherboards. It has other variants like the Z170 Deluxe version and the Z170 Pro Gamer version but ASUS Z170 Pro is also a high end product falling just below the Deluxe variant.
As you can see in the image, it has an eight pin power connector to power the CPU socket. Also the PWM section has an extensive heat managing system with heatsinks that cover the entire section alongside a heat pipe that funnels the heat away.
It supports up to 64GB DRAM with 3400 MHz (O.C+) frequency through the four DDR4 DIMM slots. Moving on to the expansion slots, there is one M.2 slot, then there are three PCI-e 3.0 x16, and four PCI-e 3.0 x1 slots. Talking of storage, it has 10 SATA III as well as two SATA Express ports.
There are four internal headers; two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 on the front and if you check out the back you will see four USB 3.0, two USB 3.1, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, Display port, Mini-Display port connectors, SPDIF, a WiFi-Go module, Gigabit LAN ports and a 7.1 channel audio jack.
