NVIDIA Arranging the GeForce GTX 950 (Ti)
Nvidia is ready and preparing for the GeForce GTX 950 (Ti). The company is working on Maxwell GM206-250 product.
Nvidia, who is currently ruling the graphics card market and might be decreasing the prices of its high-end cards, has some more tricks up its sleeves. The company plans on replacing the already existing Maxwell graphics cards.
The first gen Maxwell cards will be replaced with the newly finished processor Maxwell GM206-250. Let’s take a look back at the first gen Maxwell cards and what were they had. The first gen cards had two processors placed inside of it, the GM107 and GM108.
GM107 is currently running the GTX x50 which is otherwise known as the ‘budget’ mid-range segment while GM108 is mobile silicon. Nvidia has completed the new processors and soon GTX 750 Ti and non-Ti will be replaced with newer chips.
Few things are true without a doubt, this new processor is a GeForce product and it is codenamed GM206-250. Thirdly, it will be a GTX product which determines the fact that it won’t be below GT x40. This information is not very detailed though.
The GM206-250 is a slimmed adaptation of the full processor GTX 960 with 1024 CUDA cores i.e. GM206-300. So this mysterious card seems promising although substantial and detailed information is still unavailable.
If there is a big shift in the market Nvidia will soon start skimming the process. This won’t come as a shock for most people as they have been planning to do so. With this baffling card coming out, nothing can be certain at least for now.
