PlayStation 4 Model CUH-1200 Tests Confirm Reduced Power and Noise
Great news for the PlayStation 4 fans! The new model of their console that Sony has recently announced really helps you cut down on you power consumption.
This was previously expected as Sony itself boasted of the CUH-1200 model to use less power and produce less noise as compared to the original PS4, however, it has now been tested and verified by a third party.
Some extensive testing was done on the new PlayStation 4 model CUH-1200 and compared it with the performance of CUH-1100 and CUH-1000 i.e. the previous models.
It was initially figured out that CUH-1200 is at 53db as compared to 57db of the previous models.
All three models were then tested in different conditions for instance while they were in the Standby mode with the USB and Suspend off and the internet being kept on. The results showed that CUH-1200 uses exactly half power as compared to the last two versions that didn’t show much difference between them.
Next, they were tested in Standby with just the USB being kept off while Suspend and internet were running while this didn’t show an equal difference as the last test, the figures still were quite less for the CUH-1200. Same was the case when the consoles were on Standby but were downloading a game or when the menu was opened.
Finally, the difference between the latest PlayStation 4 and the previous versions when playing a game was pretty close to about 20 percent.
