AMD R9 Fury X Gets Another Water Block From XSPC
XSPC, manufacturer of high-performance water cooling components, has unveiled a new custom water block for AMD R9 Fury X, which will go in direct competition with the earlier announced water block by EKWB.
It’s almost necessary for the buyers of Fury X to invest in finding effective customized cooling solution, as the graphics card is available with reference cooler only.
The full cover block from XSPC can serve the purpose, and so can the one from EKWB. Both are specially designed for the Fury X. The only obvious difference is that XSPC water block requires two slots but EKWB’s solution depends on single slot only.
Although there are some AIO coolers already available in the market, their compatibility with Fury X is not guaranteed. This is because of much larger dissipation area of the GPU/HBM on interposer in AMD’s latest flagship graphics card.
Separately, Alphacool is seemingly working to develop a new AIO cooler. This cooling solution is quite bigger than the normal standards. Thus, it will possibly support more than a single graphics card. Will it really? Only the officials will confirm.
Anyways, when the users need their graphics cards to process graphics quickly and regularly, as it happens in case of video game playing, they are required to use GPU water blocks to prevent chips from overheating. The proper cooling of the GPUs is also important to keep the system safe. And so are the new graphics cards.
