Tomorrow PlayStation Network Will Go offline For Maintenance
PlayStation reminds its customers of planned maintenance of the system which is scheduled for tomorrow on Tuesday 30th, June 05:30 am BST to Tuesday 30th June 07:00 am BST.
If the maintenance and improvement task is accomplished within the announced time frame, PSN will become online after 1.5 hours.
Existing account holders of PSN won’t be interrupted as such by the maintenance activity, as they will be able to sign in to their PlayStation™Network profile, play games, and use most applications during maintenance activity.
However, PlayStation won’t allow for new purchases during the maintenance, nor will users be allowed to access Account Management and PlayStation™Video.
Furthermore, PlayStation recommends its users activating their PS4™ console as primary one before the slated maintenance commences. Users will “need to do this once and will remain in effect for all future maintenance’s,” reads the official webpage.
Sony’s subsidiary service has shared a link where users can know the procedure for activating PS4 console as primary.
PlayStation authorities explains why it has to take PSN offline on its official website
“To keep PlayStation Network running as a slick, secure gaming and entertainment machine, we sometimes need to take it offline for essential maintenance.
“This could be to add new services, update the existing features, improve security, or make technical adjustments.”
