Nvidia Quadro Spotted In Driver Update, Launch Expected At SIGGRAPH 2015
Nvidia just released its GTX 980 Ti and now it seems the graphics giant is planning to release new Quadro M cards soon. The cards were mentioned in a new driver update released by Nvidia, that adds support for M5000 and M4000.
Here’s what was found:
“NVIDIA_DEV.13F0.1152.103C = NVIDIA Quadro M5000
NVIDIA_DEV.13F1.1153.103C = NVIDIA Quadro M4000”
We are not too far away from SIGGRAPH 2015, which kicks-off on August 9, it is possible that Nvidia will launch the cards during the event. Just last year at SIGGRAPH, Nvidia announced Quadro Kx2, so chances of an announcement in August are high.
Both of these cards are based on the GM204GL graphics processor. Detailed specs aren’t yet revealed but it wouldn’t be surprising if Nvidia released these cards with 8GB of memory.
Moreover, M5000 and M4000 aren’t the only professional GPUs planned for release as there seems to a Tesla M60 in development as well. The card was spotted in the driver as well and is based on the GM206.
“NVIDIA_DEV.13F2= “NVIDIA Tesla M60”

On a related note, AMD’s Fury X is looking like a strong competition for Nvidia’s Titan X and 980 Ti. We compared all three cards and their performance at both 4K and 1440p to determine which card is the right one for you. Check out the link here to know more.
