Huawei Ascend P7 Will be Entering Beta Testing for Android 5.1 Lollipop
We have good news for all Huawei Ascend P7 users. You might already know it but those who do not, your handsets will be updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop sooner than later.
Huawei announced the update just a while back however they did not confirm a set date for it. They still have not but now we have a reason to believe that it is almost ready to reach your handsets. The beta testing for Android Lollipop version 5.1 was started by Huawei in Italy and Spain.
Huawei Ascend P7 is currently running on Android KitKat version 4.4, it will be skipping the 5.0 version and jumping right off to 5.1. The latest overcoat Emotion UI 3.1 is also coming to Huawei Ascend P7 with this update. The P7 is available for $300 as it has now been replaced by Huawei P8.
Huawei Ascend P7 is backed up with some features that are hard to miss now. It is 6.5mm thin and sports a 5 inch screen with 1080p display. It runs on the HiSilicon Kirin 910T quad-core processor. It has a 13 Megapixel rear camera and 8 MP front camera with 2 GB RAM. The internal memory is 16 GB which can be extended up to 32 GB.
Besides the P7, it is also expected that Ascend G7, Ascend Mate 2 and Ascend Mate 7 will be updated to Android Lollipop. Hopefully in the near future and also skipping version 5.0. Huawei isn’t as fast in delivering Android updates as compared to other smartphone companies. However, it isn’t ignoring the flagship phones.
