Toshiba Working on Unbreakable Encryption
Toshiba is working on unbreakable encryption technology that could save the Internet and users from hackers.
The technology is termed as next level encryption and Toshiba asserts that it is absolutely unbreakable and “completely secure from tapping“. The firm has been longing for this and claims that it is one of its kind and can save the Internet in future.
The best way to complete the process of encryption is through the ‘one-time key’ use. Now the problem resides in transferring of this key from one user to another. Since it is possible that the mail carriers are keeping an eye on you, your key might be at risk.
The Quantum Cryptography System is being created by Toshiba and it is termed as ‘foolproof’ as it uses a fiber optic cable for send the photons. The custom made cable is not connected to the Internet in any way so it will secure your data.
This procedure will make spying super difficult as anyone who tries to peak in will get the opposite of what is inside of it. According to analysts, users should remember, ‘the key to decode, as there would be no second chance given to decode it’.
Reportedly, Toshiba will launch a two year experimental phase for the quantum cryptography system. It is scheduled to begin in August and will end in August 2017. Once the testing phase is successful, the product will enter the commercial market for a longer period of time.
The company plans to launch the final product in 2020 to government and enterprises and later to the consumers. Japan’s Tohoku University will start transmitting genome analysis on August 31.
