AOC Announces Two 144Hz FreeSync Monitors for gaming
While the rest of the monitors producing companies are busy producing screens with 1080p resolution or above, AOC decides to join the league and has announced two new monitors specifically for gaming with 144Hz FreeSync compatible.
The gaming monitors in specific are focusing on GPU with monitor synchronization technology and high refresh rates. Both screens have Twisted Nematic (TN) Display panels and are offering AMD FreeSync support. The FreeSync allows the monitor to show smooth visuals and allow fluid gaming experience.
The 24 inch screen, codenamed G2460PF, can reach the brightness of 350 cd/m². While the 27 inch monitor has 300 cd/m² maximum luminance and is codenamed G2770PF. Both monitors have the same 1 millisecond response time and offer 160 degree vertical and 170 degree horizontal viewing angle.
Both monitors come with a removable stand that can be adjusted as required by the user. It is fully adjustable; you can tilt it, increase or decrease the height, and swivel and pivot. The monitors have several input ports. These include 4 USB ports, 2.0 for the 24 inch display and 3.0 for 27 inch screen. They have an HDMI port, Dual-Link DVI, DP 1.2a+ (with adaptive sync), 2W stereo speaker and headphone jack.
The 144Hz refresh rate can be used through the DisplayPort input or Dual-Link DVI. However, the FreeSync option can only be used through the DisplayPort and has to be compatible with AMD GPU.
These monitors will be available for purchase from AOC’s European official website only and it is scheduled to release in September. The G2460PF can be obtained for £229 and the G2770PF at £279 in UK. Actual prices in the US remain unknown for now.
