Batman Arkham Knight PC Version Was Outsourced to a Console Developer
The poor performance of the Batman Arkham Knight on PC has been in discussion and now it comes out that Rocksteady collaborated with an ‘external PC development partner’ to developer the PC version. It is just sad how developer are now neglecting PC versions and focusing on just the consoles.
The Batman Arkham Knight for PC was subcontracted to a small studio consisting of just twelve individuals. The Iron Galaxy Studios developers previously helped in the development of Batman: Arkham Origins which also suffered greatly on PC.
“We’re aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible. We’ll update this thread when we’ve got more info to share.”
Rocksteady’s community manager wrote that such issues are always a priority for the company and they will make sure that all issues are resolved on time. The company has made a huge mistake outsourcing the PC version as fans are really disappointed and might not even continue on with all this.
Well come on Rocksteady, you could have done a background check before giving out the version. Iron Galaxy Studios previously developed consoles and iOS (last gen). Then it worked on PS3 for Destiny and Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita version. Considering that the company does not have the tiniest of experience in PC developments.
The company is assuring users that all issues will be resolved soon; well I hope they do in time
