AMD Radeon R9 Fury X Official Benchmark Results Released
The much awaited official performance benchmark results were released today by AMD for Radeon R9 Fury X against NIVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 980 Ti and not the Titan X.
Let’s take a look inside the Radeon R9 Fury X; so it has the Fiji XT graphics processing unit which contains 4096 stream processors with 8.9 billion transistors. The 4GB HBM packed graphics card also consists of 64 ROPs and 256 TMUs alongside 4096-bit memory interface distributing 512GB/s memory bandwidth and 8.6TFLOPS performance rate.
The recent benchmarks released feature AMD Radeon R9 Fury X vs. NIVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 980 Ti. Looking at the statistics, it is kind of a beast as compared to previous chips but remember it’s NVIDIA they are up against.
In the 4K gaming series benchmarks, AMD clearly defeats NVIDIA in almost all of the games. The frame rates range from 1-2 fps and then go up to 10fps in Sleeping Dogs.
Well, I don’t want to be mean but the company could have easily picked the games in which the card has performed better. Games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Assassin’s Creed Unity also performed better with Radeon R9 Fury X although these already have a partnership with NVIDIA.
The Radeon R9 Fury X will be up for purchase today at a retail price of $649; for those who are looking for the cheaper version, it is expected to release few weeks late most probably on 14 July. Check out the R9 Fury X benchmark results in the images below and let us know how you feel about it.
