BlackBerry Slider Venice Specifications Have Leaked Online
If you wee keeping a check on Mobile World Congress 2015 you would have been equally surprised by the reveal of BlackBerry Slider smartphone which is codenamed Venice.
No one expected them to come up and show a new phone, but they weren’t too generous either. They had only given a quick glimpse of the device and left the rest for the rumor mill to figure out.
As it happens, the rumor mill in the smartphone industry is pretty pumped up; so it didn’t take too long for someone to come up with allegedly leaked specifications of the smartphone that BlackBerry failed to share at the Mobile World Congress 2015.
Whether or not these are legitimate remains to be seen, but if they are you are looking at interesting machinery. Here’s what the Venice Slider phone is supposedly packing:
- 5.4-inch Quad-HD display
- 18 MP rear-camera
- 5 MP front-camera
- 1.8 GHz Hexa-core (Snapdragon 808 chipset) 64-bit
- 3 GB RAM
As you would have figured out by now, the most important part of these specifications is the chipset which, despite the rumors, appears to have come earlier and that too in their Slider model.
Other things that are worth the attention include the slide out keyboard and a screen that is curved on both the sides (like Samsung Galaxy Edge). Even more important is the rumor that this device might come with Android instead of BlackBerry OS.
Last but not the least, a speculative release window suggests the smartphone could be out in the markets by November this year.
