Moto X 1st and 2nd Generation May Start Receiving Android 5.1 In Next Week
According to a recent post on Google+ by Motorola’s David Schuster, Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen) devices are currently undergoing soak testing in select markets. Complete roll out depends on the efficiency of the testing campaign, David Schuster says.
Various markets where the soak testing is active include Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, and Sweden for the Moto X (2nd Gen).
And Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates for the Moto X (1st Gen).
“If all goes well we would expect full deployments to start next week,” Schuster wrote to Google+, where he has 5,392 followers.
For the time being, users of Moto X (1st or 2nd Gen) in North America have to wait a little longer for the update, as North America is not included in the select markets.
The recent update follows an earlier statement by Schuster in which he said that the Lollipop update was on its way for the Moto X (2013) in a week.
