Verizon Lets Motorola Droid Turbo Users Experience The Features Of Lollipop 5.1 Before Release
Motorola Droid Turbo on Verizon is getting an in-browser simulator to allow its owners to experience the Android 5.1’s features in advance.
Using the simulator, owners of the Droid Turbo will be able to get a virtual feel of the numerous features and enhancements that the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS update will bring.
Motorola Droid Turbo can access the simulator on Verizon’s website to give a try to the features of unreleased OS update.
IBTimes explains various enhancements that user will experience after installing the Android 5.1. One of the many enhancements will be the availability of all features of Android 5.0.
A brand new Material Design UI and improved lockscreen notifications will follow the installation of OS update. In addition to this, Recent Apps menu and Android ART runtime will supposedly quicken the application launching process.
“Users will also notice a new Quick Settings menu and a new battery saver mode, which has been implemented as a result of Google’s project Volta,” the news source adds.
The above mentioned battery saver mode does its job by making appropriate adjustments in the brightness of display and by stopping the unnecessary updates in the background.
Android 5.1 was rolled out during summer 2015. The updated OS was said to fix several issues found in 5.0 including app termination bug, connectivity problems, and battery draining issues.
