Sony Promises to Fix the Overheating Issue in Xperia Z3+ (Z4)
The complaints about Sony Xperia Z3+, or otherwise known as the Z4, must have touched the roof because Sony has reportedly admitted that they know about the overheating issue in the smartphone. The company promises to fix the issue in summers.
The Japanese-based Sony replied to a Dutch publication and stated that the unwanted heat is caused by some apps and can be felt through the back panel which is made of glass. The company classifies it as a normal issue and that users must not get worried about it.
A performance test held in Netherlands proved that Xperia Z3+ overheats usually when recording HD videos, while watching HD clips on Netflix and also when graphic intensive games were played. All these processes caused the phone to overheat and crossing the maximum limit of temperature.
In case your Xperia Z3+ or Z4 is heating up without any reason then the company suggests that you take your device to the nearest service center authorized by Sony. The company also suggests that users must turn off their phones often especially when it is charging.
Fujitsu Arrows NX, Sharp Aquos Zeta and other smartphones using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processors have been warned about the overheating issues by several retailers in Japan. Something similar happened with the HTC One M9 but fortunately for the One M9 users, the company updated the phone with pre-release software and fixed the issue.
It is likely that Sony will use the same technique to resolve this issue to stifle the CPU and clock speed of GPU.
