LG G4 Touchscreen Reportedly Not Working Properly
After a huge influx of complaints regarding the touchscreen issues of LG G4, XDA has specified an entire thread to address the problem.
According to our news sources, the LG G4 is failing to register and respond to quick taps and swipes. Subsequently, the handset stops making correct use of the Knock On and Knock Code features.
If Knock On works properly, users get the ability to wake up their phone with double tap on the display. They can send the phone back to sleep mode by tapping twice the screen again.
In the same way, Knock Code allows the G4 holders to lock and unlock their phones by creating a pattern of two to eight taps.
XDA forum conducted a survey from 194 LG G4 users to assess the prevalence of the problem. According to the results of the survey, 40.21% of the owners of the phone said that their phones weren’t having such issues. The findings of the survey logically means that almost 60% of those surveyed have been affected by the problem.
Users, who are confused about the wellness of the screen on their LG G4, can manually examine the display. To do so, enter the code 277634#*# then Go to Device Test -> Service Menu – Manual Test -> Touch Draw Test – Manual.
How will you know whether the screen is defective? To figure out the level of responsiveness of your phone, you will have to tap, touch, knock and slide on the screen — “a red mark should appear on the spots where the screen was touched,” the news source reports.
