Rumor: A Bigger S6 Edge Running Android 5.1.1 is Coming
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is arguably one of the most popular smartphones of this year. The device has enticed millions of buyers with its highly captivating appearance. But Samsung has still something even better in its design reservoir.
Number of rumors have established that the South Korean smartphone maker is working to build a new larger display version of the handset. This bigger version of the original model has been dubbed the Galaxy S6 edge Plus.
The source reports on behalf of certain other rumors that the Galaxy S6 edge Plus will feature a 5.7-inch curved display screen.
Some earlier rumors hinted that that the Phone may come with a 5.5-inch display. But Samsung will rather prefer 5.7-inch screen presumably because this display size has worked quite good with its last two Galaxy Note smartphones.
As the logic suggests, after the arrival of Lollipop, any new device can’t afford outdated OS. Samsung is making no mistake and is going to seed Android 5.1.1 to its next high-end smartphone.
If the rumors come valid, the device will be unveiled in the third quarter of this year. At this point, we can’t share any specific month for launch.
The recent rumor has emerged at SAmMobile, which is considered the most reliable source when it comes to revealing news from the internal corridors of the Korean giant company.
Please be advised that the detailed specs of the Galaxy S6 edge plus, in fact the device itself, are based on rumors. Official sources haven’t commented about such a project.
