Computex: Quanta Compute Plug Is a Computer Shaped Like An AC Adapter
If you thought Raspberry Pi was the coolest little computer out there, I am about to make you reconsider. Tech-heads and companies are currently tearing it up at Computex Asia, and we have received plenty of interesting facts and details about our favorite hardware.
However, the most interesting and coolest piece to hardware to come out of the event so far, is Quanta Compute Plug. Its name may make you think that it’s just a plug, or a computer plug, but you’ll be surprised to know that it’s neither.
It’s actually a full-fledged computer that’s shaped like an AC adapter.
According to a new report, its main purpose is revealed as conversion of a TV into a “smart” TV. Computers have been shrinking in terms of their size but Quanta Compute Plug is not only small in size, it’s shape is its USP.
The new device was shown by Nick Parker, who is a VP at Microsoft, and it was revealed that this awesome little device is capable of running Microsoft’s new Windows 10 operating system.
At the event, Parker showed how Quanta Compute Plug, works with Cortana and a Bluetooth device which allows it to offers a hands free experience.
Users can also use a keyboard with Quanta Compute Plug, while working on Word.
This isn’t the first wall-plus computer of its kind but judging by its size, it’s the smallest. We’ll have more you on this in the near future, check back for more updates.
