AMD Radeon 300 Series Pricing Apparently Got Leaked
The pricing of the entire range of AMD Radeon 300 series has been leaked online. Apparently the graphics card is even more expensive than the 200 series. Rumor has it that the series is based on an enhanced and better version of the GPUs already placed in the 200 series. You can check out the pricing here.
The AMD Radeon has increased the memory capacity from 4 GB to 8 GB in the x90. While the Tonga has two variant memory capacities available i.e. 4 GB and 2 GB. It is also powered by the R9 285 graphics chip, which is currently being used by AMD.
Both Cape Verde and Tahiti GPUs have gone MIA which were previously powered in the R9 280 series and the R7 250X.
With the given pricing, the R9 390X is expected to embark upon the $500 line with Nvidia’s GTX 980. The GTX 970 is below the R9 390 while the R9 380 (AMD Radeon) rests somewhere between the GTX 970 and the GTX 960.
Sweclockers has almost always been a reliable source however, a couple of times in the past, it proved to be false. Like the one time when it stated that 980 Ti would have 3072 CUDA cores but it turned out to be untrue.
This news is just a rumor, so take it lightly if these prices do not turn out to be true.
