Google+ is Too Scared and Hiding Somewhere? Not Really, New Features Inbound
Oh well, it looks like Google+ is playing hide and seek with us, since the link started disappearing today from most prominent web pages.
The ‘Google+ is dead’ joke and ‘was Google+ ever alive?’ remark has taken over the internet however, we are still wondering where did that shortcut go! Worry not people of this mighty technological planet, it is only another click away.
That’s right the G+ link to your profile is not dead, it is just hiding in your drop down menu. So now to navigate yourself to your G+ profiles all you have to do is click that tiny little grid of 9 boxes right next to your name. And there it is, just after YouTube and Maps.
Bradley Horowitz told Steven Levy after the I/O developers conference that G+ is actually alive and has more breathing margin than ever.
“In fact, it’s got more signs of life than it’s had in some time.”
You must remember that +[your name here] on your Google homepage right? And even the link in your Gmail, well it is all gone. The two most prominent things axed by Google are the G+ link and sharing shortcut.
A spokesperson told The Verge that they started rolling out some new features and changes. With the G+ link and shortcut bar cut off the latest Google Photos is now live!
“Today we began rolling out a couple of changes to our main Google navigation bar in order to simplify the user interface.”
Google is planning on splitting Google+ into three sub-branches Stream, Hangouts and Photos. The company wants to improve user experience. If you have not noticed the change then you must not be regular user and this news would not affect you.
