Facebook Now Support GIFs, Let the GIFing Begin!
Facebook users, we have some great news for you all. Finally, Facebook has rolled out GIF support on its social platform. It has been a long time coming but better late then never.
Users will be able to share GIFs in the most easiest of ways. All you have to do is share a URL in the comments or into the post. This will allow you to share your feelings in a whole new way on Facebook.
For those who don’t know, this isn’t the first time we are seeing GIFs on the popular social networking website. Back in 2013, we saw a brief appearance of GIFs on Facebook, courtesy of Giphy.
However, things didn’t work out at the time as each GIF played like a video and didn’t even work in a proper manner. Thankfully, proper GIFs are now being rolled out on Facebook, so in addition to memes, you have another way to express yourself.
While Facebook is late to the party, rival Twitter received support for GIFs back in 2014. The social website supports GIFs across Android, iPhone and the web.
Facebook keeps evolving and we will see more new and interesting features added in the future. Have you tried the new GIFs feature on Facebook yet? Let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
