WhatsMac, A WhatsApp Web Client For Mac OS X
A newly introduced app available for download from GitHub, WhatsMac essentially brings the WhatsApp Web Client interface to the MAC.
With the above mentioned app, users of MAC will be able to use all WhatsApp features: sending and receiving audio, video, images and text. However, users must sync their active WhatsApp accounts with their phones. Additionally, the users will have to get their devices jailbroken.
If you are jailbroken though, check out the tutorial given below to use this app:
Despite the availability of iMessage and other similar message exchanging apps, it is safe to assume that, WhatsMac will find decent following. Because the users will get a chance of availing features of one of the most recognized messaging apps for free.
The only factor which can make some of the Apple raving fans dislike the app is, unavailability of the support for non jailbreak iPhones.
Facebook, the owner of WhatsApp, also doesn’t offer a native app for desktop. This makes it hard to believe that the social media site will be doing anything for its subsidiary, what it hasn’t done for itself, anytime soon.
Still, the possibility of arrival of apps for both of the narrated services can’t be negated completely. Nonetheless, for now, WhatsMac should suffice for WhatsApp features.
