Elon Musk Fears Google Is Developing Humanity-Destroying Robots
Well, plenty of other stuff from science fiction movies has come true, controlling our homes with wireless devices like smartphones, flying cars and many more. However, the world is now obsessed to artificial intelligence.
While its benefits are too much to explain in one article, its one possible downside is that it may take over the world. An artificial intelligence trying to take over the world has been seen in plenty of movies including iRobot and who can forget the Terminator franchise.
Like many things that are now possible in real-life, is an AI takeover also a possibility? Elon Musk seems to think so and he is genuinely concerned about the matter.
According to a Bloomberg reporter Ashlee Vance’s new book called “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future,” he sat down with the founder of Tesla and found out some interesting concerns Tesla’s founder has about the future of our world.
Musk believes that Google’s co-founder and CEO Larry Page may have been building an AI fleet of robots capable of worldwide takeover.
It is to be noted that Page isn’t described as the bad guy in this story but someone who created an evil AI by mistake. Reminds me of Skynet!
AI is somewhat a reality already but the problem for Musk seems to be this form of intelligence being put into a moving machine.
Have Musk been watching too much Terminator? Or do you think this could really happen?
