Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update Is Rolling Out On Select Nexus Devices
Nexus users who were waiting for Google’s roll-out of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop should be happy to know that the update is rolling out now on Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 9 LTE tablet.
According to update details, the new build comes with a range of performance improvement in addition to stability and some bug fixes. Users are reporting that notifications have been received for their LG Nexus 4 with build number LMY47V and LG Nexus 5 with number LMY48B, lastly, HTC Nexus 9 LTE with number LRX22L.
The update has just started to roll-out for the aforementioned devices but fans should be patient as it may take a while before it is released globally.
Once the update becomes available on your device, you will see a system notification. You can also check to see if it is available by going to “About System.” Make sure you have an Internet connection.

Depending on your device, the update is around 18-24MB in size, which shouldn’t take long to download. You can wait for the update to arrive on its own or visit the link I provided to update your phone manually.
The update can be installed on your device by using ADB on your PC. Move the OTA file to the directory of ADB before rebooting the device into recovery.
