So Where Are We With Android 5.0 Lollipop Release For Samsung Galaxy Smartphones?
While all of us would love to have Android 5.0 Lollipop on our Samsung Galaxy smartphones, not everyone will get it. Samsung and its carrier partners have released the update for some of the Galaxy devices, but others are still hanging dry for now.
People who own or are planning to get the latest Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have no worries as they will be enjoying the new Android build. However, what about the rest of us?

Galaxy S5: Major carriers in the United States have pushed 5.0 out the door for S5, including Sprint who recently released the update for Samsung’s device. The update featured factory reset protection and possibly some bug fixes. Australia will also get the update soon as carrier Telstra announced that it’s in the testing phase.
Galaxy S4: In the United States, Sprint along with AT&T and Verizon has issued the update for S4. However, U.S. Cellular or T-Mobile haven’t yet mentioned the update on their official pages.
Galaxy S3: Sadly, S3 won’t be getting the update at all.
Galaxy S5 Mini: The update isn’t yet released for S5 Mini, but Samsung France is planning to release 5.0 Lollipop by the end of next month. Samsung Denmark has also confirmed its arrival soon.
Galaxy S5 Active: Galaxy S5 Active is another one of Samsung’s iterations for S5, the good news for fans is that the device is set to receive Android Lollipop 5.0. Well, it’s getting it in Canada at least. The confirmation came from carrier Rogers, who says the update is heading to S5 Active soon.
Galaxy S4 Mini: A lot of speculation and conflicting reports has been circulating around the web regarding the arrival of Lollipop 5.0 coming to S4 Mini.
Now, we have received confirmation from two of Samsung’s European arms that the update will not be released. They said memory limitations are to blame.
Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy Alpha: There hasn’t been any official word regarding the arrival of Lollipop 5.0 on these devices but the update has been released in some regions. Hopefully, more territories will be added soon.
