Windows 10 Mobile Updates Will Reach All Users On Time
Microsoft has today announced that it plans to bypass phone operators and manage Windows 10 Mobile updates itself.
This will ensure that new OS updates are going to reach your mobiles in a timely manner. Unlike the present situation where most of the lot have to bid their time, waiting for the new update to make themselves available.
“Today, we’re announcing this continuous update process applies to all Windows 10 devices, including phones,” Microsoft said in a blog post. The company confirmed that all mobile updates will release simultaneously as the Desktop ones. However, this doesn’t apply to users running Windows Phone 8.1, owners of whom may have to wait a little longer before the new Windows 10 update appears.
Microsoft’s decision to bypass carrier involvement is similar to how Apple approaches its iOS. It not only has users expect shorter waiting times, but in a way also keeps the platform as secure as possible.
Windows 10 is expected to release later this summer. The new OS is going to bring improved desktop integration on mobiles, and universal apps that work across all devices.
