Feedly Now Accessible Via Apple Watch
What else could be better than having your favorite news app now available on Apple Watch? iOS confirms via the official update that Feedly will be accessible through Apple Watch.
It will gather best stories from your news feed and their highlights will be available at your wrist. All stories will be presented with morsels and deciding which story is read worthy will be dependent on the consumers.
There are a couple of things that you can do; for viewing a story you can scroll vertically (Up or Down). Secondly to jump between stories you can swipe horizontally (Right or Left). You can also mark a story as ‘read’ for permanently deleting from your device. Besides this, you can save a story for reading it later by using your Feedly tags. These actions can be performed by using the Force Touch on your Watch.
Although these design elements have been incorporated in the latest update but viewing the app in Glances is still not supported on the Apple Watch.
Arthur Bodolec, co-founder Feedly design, said about his team and product in a blog post that designing and producing this application has been difficult.
It’s really difficult to design an application for a device which has breakthrough use cases, new interactions, but you have never tried.
When Google Reader disappeared completely from the market, Feedly became immensely popular for following websites and the RSS reader. This update and bringing user’s favorite app to their favorite product might be a good idea. Since people like all of their apps available across devices.
