Samsung Galaxy Tab A is Coming to UK on May 21
Samsung has announced that it will be bringing its Samsung Galaxy Tab A to the UK on May 21.
Dubbed as the rival to Apple’s iPad, Samsung’s offering is powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be available in three models – WiFi, WiFi with S Pen stylus, and LTE.
“The Galaxy Tab A has the power and performance our customers have come to expect from the Samsung Galaxy range, and with WiFi, LTE and S-Pen versions available we are offering people more choice when it comes to picking a device that best suits their lifestyle,” said Conor Pierce, VP of IT and mobile at Samsung UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A sports a 9.7-inch 1024×768 LCD display, along with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The WiFi-only model comes with 1.5GB RAM, while the other two models – WiFi with S Pen stylus, and LTE – come with up to 2GB.
It features dual 5MP and 2MP cameras, an exquisite 7.5mm thickness, a 6,000mAh battery which according to Samsung will give 10 hours of use, and 16GB built-in storage expandable by an additional 128GB via microSD.
The device will come with Office and Skype apps pre-installed.
A price has not been revealed. Though, seeing how the device costs $300 in the US, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is most probably going to retail in UK for around £200.
