Use iPad as Windows’ Second Monitor With Duet Display
One thing we all thought would never happen has just happened; Duet Display now allows users to use an iPad as their second display for Windows. You can now download it for $9.99 with absolutely no catch, all you have to do is use the lightening connector or a 30-pin charging cable and tada!
Although Duet Display was available for quite some time but the company has reduced its price by 40 percent as a celebration offer for setting off the milestone. However, sadly, the 10 buck price tag is only available until May 12th, Tuesday after that it will be back to its original price.
Duet Display will work fine with Windows 7, 8 & 10 and for iPhone users with iOS 7 or above. Both versions of Duet Display for Windows/Mac and iOS are available for download at the developer’s website and Apple Store respectively.
According to a review, the latest Windows/Mac Duet Display works fine however some of the apps were running a bit slow. The Windows version is not as smooth as the MacBook version mainly because of Windows’ 1024 x 768 resolution limitation. So if you feel like watching some HD clip using Duet Display, you might want to rethink it.
Users can also utilize iPad to navigate around on the Windows and the regular touch screen tap can be used as click just as the Mac version offers. Windows lets users extend the screen or even mirror the display using the app. Frankly if the apps are running a bit slower than the Mac Version then the developers need to rethink this app and collaboration.
