Snapchat and Fusion Collaborate for Sofia Vergara Reality Show
Either Snapchat has a super talented marketing team or they just get lucky each time, Snapchat and Fusion are teaming up for a Sofia Vergara reality show.
ABC’s Modern Family star Sofia Vergara will be appearing in a series featuring on Snapchat from her son’s perspective. Vergaraland, the six-episode miniseries will focus on Vergara’s career from Manolo González Vergara’s viewpoint.
Snapchat, Fusion and Sofia Vergara’s Latin World Entertainment (talent management and entertainment marketing firm) are collaborating for this project. Sofia seems excited about the new original series and says that it will be an interesting show.
Manolo finally graduated, and I am very happy for his alliance with Fusion to create such an innovative series.
ABC News and Univision Communications’ Fusion has set Snapchat as their major content distributors and aims on targeting massive audience. Back in January when Snapchat introduced its Discovery feature, Fusion was amongst the companies that were involved. 11 media partners were involved including Comedy Central, CNN, ESPN, National Geographic Food Network and Vice.
The discovery portal is not only for keeping up with the routine events but also with the Hollywood Elite. The discover feature lets the partners post content for nearly 24 hours, which is way more than the usual 10 second time frame.
“Sofia Vergara is undoubtedly one of the most successful television actresses today, and she is also an incredible business woman, entrepreneur and loving mother,” says Isaac Lee, Fusion CEO.
Vergaraland will be shot in vertical video format to fit into Snapchat’s design. The content available from Fusion will also be in Spanish, Portuguese and French.
