Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen Surpasses Official Battery Numbers
Motorola’s second generation Moto E mobile phone was tested for the battery endurance and has aced the test. Giving stats that are even higher than what the company promised.
According to a test by GSM Arena, the smartphone has a reliable battery and performed tremendously in the battery rest.
The Moto E is already available in the UK and has a 4.5 inch qHD display. It has 1GB RAM and is powered by Snapdragon 410 chipset. It also has the modest 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 processor (quad-core) with Adreno 306 GPU.
Motorola promised a 2390mAh battery which makes nearly a day; however according to the reports, it performed way higher. During the 3G Talk time test, the battery lasted almost a day i.e. 22 hours and 36 minutes. This is great because this tag puts Moto E in the line with top performing smartphones offering 20 hour plus talk time.
In the Web Browsing test, the phone made it till 12 hours and 42 minutes, dying before the 13 hour tag. The video playback performed tremendously. The phone played videos for 13 hours 4 minutes before alerting with 10% critically low battery.
The standby endurance test was what contributed to the final rating, the phone made it till 250 hours which is above average. All these stats combined and gave an 82 hours endurance rating. So if you are stuck in a jungle for three days without charger and you make calls, use web browsing and watch videos an hour each day then you might just survive the boredom.
